Hutch, Sri Lanka’s 3G network, was an Effie winner in the Internet and Telecom category for their unique campaign “Always Internet” at the recently concluded Effie Awards ceremony held at Water’s Edge last week.
The campaign was conceptualized by Sarva Integrated and was rated as one of the most effective communication campaigns in the country.
The international Effie Awards highlights marketing effectiveness and over the years has emerged as the measure by which the advertising industry also delivers business success to its clients. There are presently Effie award programs in 42 countries and 6 regions globally. The Effie Awards have been held in Sri Lanka in partnership with the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) since 2008.
Speaking about the accolade, Thirukumar Nadarasa CEO of Hutch said, “Hutch has continuously strived to make a significant difference in the lives of Sri Lankans, and our greatest ambassadors are our ever growing customer base. The SLIM Effie Award for Hutch’s innovative Always Internet product recognizes the impact the product and related campaign has made in the market. It applauds ideas that connect with people on a rational level, ideas that make a real difference”.
Chrishantha Jayasinghe - Managing Director at Sarva Integrated (Pvt) Ltd said, “We are really proud that this is the second “Effie” we have won for Hutch. I must sincerely thank the team at Hutch for their support towards creating work which not only results in growth but as well as in awards”.
