Three inmates of the Kalutara Prison, who were remanded for narcotic related offences had escaped early yesterday morning,
police said.
They said the prisoners aged between 23 and 32 years were identified as residents of Beruwala and Kalutara.
Several police teams had been deployed to arrest the inmates.
