The Department of Meteorology yesterday warned of enhancement of rainy conditions in several areas during the coming days.
“Showery conditions will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western Provinces and Galle and Matara Districts,” the department said.
Showers exceeding 100 mm are expected in these areas.
Showers or thundershowers are expected in few other places in Uva and Eastern provinces after 02.00 pm. Wind speed can increase up to 40 Kmph at times over the island.
Meanwhile, landslide warnings were issued for Ratnapura, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya Districts.
