Only state-owned Osu Salas allowed to open

Acting IGP C.D. Wickremaratne yesterday instructed all super markets and private pharmacies except for state-owned pharmacies to close until further notice.
Police said the decision was taken as it was reported that some supermarkets were open for consumers despite being only permitted to operate home-delivery of essential commodities.
However, the police said pharmacies were allowed to operate home-delivery services.
