No one has the right to take disciplinary action against Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) candidate Sujeewa Senasinghe said yesterday.
Mr. Senasinghe was responding to a statement made by UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam that those party members who are contesting the general election from another party will be suspended after disciplinary inquiries.
“We have formed SJB with the approval of UNP working committee. Therefore none of has violated the party constitution” he said.
“If someone is to be suspended, it has to be the UNP general secretary and others who do not know the party constitution,” he added.
