With the detection of a resident of Pattiyapola, Tangalle as positive for COVID - 19, 36 occupants of several shops and houses had been directed for quarantining. The Tangalle PHI Jagath Gajadeera said that action has been taken on Monday to close three shops in the area.
The affected person had been serving at the Kandakadu Centre, and after identifying him, the group of persons who had associated with him and the shops he had visited are now being kept under observation.
