Mohamed Aliyar, a close associate of National Thawheed Jamath (NTJ) leader Mohamed Zahran, was arrested by the Kattankudy Police yesterday afternoon.
Police said there had been financial dealings between the suspect and suicide bomber Zahran.
The 60-year-old suspect, a resident of Meththapalli Road in Kattankudy, would be detained for further questioning, police said.
