Power and Energy Minister Ravi Karunanayake said the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) would purchase 230 megawatts of electricity from two barge-mounted power plants in another two weeks.
He told Daily Mirror the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) approved the initiative to anchor the two floating power plants in Colombo and Galle. “We will purchase electricity at Rs.24.70 per unit,” he said.
