Aranthalawa massacre Injured monk seeks action against living terrorists

A Buddhist monk who sustained critical injuries in the Aranthalawa Massacre filed a Fundamental Rights petition in the Supreme Court seeking an order to prosecute any living terrorist involved in the massacre. 

Ven. Andaulpatha Buddhasara Thera filed this petition yesterday naming Acting IGP, State Intelligence Director and the Attorney General as respondents.  Thirty-three Buddhist monks, most of them young novices, and four civilians were killed by the LTTE at Aranthalawa in 1987.
