All boards of SOE’s, statutory bodies dissolved

All chairpersons and board members of state-owned enterprises (SOEs), regulatory bodies and other statutory institutions have been asked to resign by a special circular issued by the Finance Ministry yesterday.   

Therefore, all management bodies of those institutions will stand dissolved.   
The Ministry said all ministry secretaries had been informed in this regard.   


Moreover, it said the government had summoned all political appointees functioning as ambassadors and high commissioners to return to the country.   
This decision has been taken in accordance with the prevailing practice after the election of a new head of state.
