An airman attached to the Katunayake Base has tested positive for COVID-19 thereby recording the first such case in the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF).
SLAF Acting Spokesman Dushan Wijesinghe said the airman concerned was reported to have participated in an event with the Navy Band on April 12. However, he had been kept on isolation since then. Meanwhile, he said the results of PCR tests conducted on a group of SLAF members were pending.
