HNB Assurance wins first ever Inter-Insurance Quiz competition

HNB Assurance won first place in the inaugural Inter-Insurance team quiz, which was held at Excel World recently.
The winning team consisted of Dinuka Herath – Assistant Manager Marketing, Geethani Seram – Acting Head of Support Services, Dinesh Udawatta – Head of Operations, Rohan Hemantha – Manager Risk & Compliance & Gayan Tennakoon – Assistant Manager Finance. This was the first quiz competition organized by the Sri Lanka Insurance Institute (SLII). Around 30 teams, each with 5 members faced the quizmaster together and wrote the answers in a group effort. This competition was open to all member companies of The Insurance Association of Sri Lanka (IASL) and The Sri Lanka Insurance Brokers Association (SLIBA).
The event brought good rapport among the insurance community and encouraged interaction amongst participants. The competition created a platform to impart and exchange knowledge on varied subjects including insurance, history, geography, sports, science, literature and entertainment, current affairs and IQ/Logical Reasoning.
As SLII is the premier professional body of insurance education in Sri Lanka, this initiative fulfilled the objective of educating and providing professional development for those engaged in insurance and to create a social forum for its members.
