EU, this is another step taken forward by EU. It's high time that the GOSL is taught lessons for human right violations, action against humanity, war crimes etc etc. In the summit EU should send a very strong message to GOSL, to say that EU and other International bodies will not support SL in anyway as long as it continues with human right violations etc.

These monkeys have no work other than putting the finger in Sri Lanka. Even if GOSL violated HR in crushing LTTE, it is much better than allowing the LTTE to exist. If they existed, it would have been another thousands of violations in the years to come.....???? The EU and USA know that....bloody hypocrites.

Since 18 May 2009, Sri Lanka has become the talking point of the world community. Because the Armed Forces of Sri Lanka uprooted the LTTE terrorist menace in the land. Some nations appreciate the stern action took by the Government Forces against terrorism. But, majority of nations are trying their best to disgrace the Land which they should Honor, by picking a bone by applying new laws to citizens of Sri Lanka eg. Visa restrictions etc., or by abolishing privileges individually or collectively eg. GSP+ by the EU. Additionally, by the world bodies like UN spear heading the blaming game. Why, all because the Govt. of Sri Lanka did not head to their call to install a ceasefire when the terrorist were cornered and the history is in the making about taming terrorism. Very specially, US and EU should extend their unconditional help to develop the land which was devastated by the terrorist for 25 years. Instead, these are the main countries who are leading the bust to close what ever the avenues still open to help the development of the land. The fallacy here is, they are still fighting terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan killing at least ten innocent civilians at a go to get one terrorist, but it is forbidden to any other country to do the same. However, the same countries who level criticism at Sri Lanka, never did helped Sri Lanka to nip terrorism in the bud. They had their eyes closed when the terrorist were killing innocent civilians to drive their point across. They just slap the hands of terrorists publicly, but, supported them by selling arms via the third party. Now the only thing the EU and US has to do without searching avenues to bring disgrace to satisfy the Diasporas, but, to help Sri Lanka without any strings attached to develop that land.

This is nothing new. We Sri Lankans know it very well you nosy hypocrites over there in Europe have been "discussing" about us from the day we started annihilating your terrorist allies in Sri Lanka the LTTE. This is why you scumbags from the west even went to the extent of funding, training and arming them with sophisticated weapons. We know it also that your mission is to somehow give a piece of this strategically located Sri Lanka to the LTTE. This way you can ensure that not just China, but you too will get an opportunity to put up a base here at he same time. We know that you don't like to see China securing the international shipping lane off Hambantota, which is vital for China to ensure it has free access to Middle East oil in case a standoff arises with the west. We know it very well also that supposing we ask China to pack up and leave, all this baseless allegations made by you hypocrites will vanish overnight. You will then get all cosy with the government so that you can creep in here. If at all this actually happen, after that you will never ever utter a word about any human rights violations taking place in Sri Lanka even if we annihilate the entire Tamil community living in Sri Lanka today. Because this is how you western hypocrites always operate. For example, consider what happened in Georgia. Like Sri Lanka Georgia is another strategically located country that is bordering Russia. When the President of Georgia, a stooge of the Americans sent his troops to South Ossetia to annihilate the people over there, the West looked the other way but only to be a rudely awakened when the Russians went in unannounced. The West looked the other way even though they knew it very well that unlike it was with Tamil Ealam, South Ossetia was already accepted by many other nations as an autonomous region. They looked the other way because they wanted to lay pipelines across the region to bring in the oil from the oil fields near the Caspian Sea. When we are very much aware of the double standards of the west, Sri Lankans are not stupid to make friends with hypocrites from the west who are responsible for most of world's problems as well as human right violation arising from those problems they have created. Besides, if they genuinely care about human rights and all that, then why spend huge amounts of money to produce nuclear weapons that can wipe out not only mankind but also every animal that lives on this planet? Why not spend all that money for the betterment of mankind? And why ask Iran to stop uranium enrichment when it is evident that they are doing it to produce energy? Why demand them to ceased uranium enrichment when you have a huge stockpile of nuclear bombs that can destroy our world not just once but many times over? So you hypocrites take all the time you want to discuss about Sri Lanka we just don’t give a damn! You keep discussing about Sri Lanka till your leader (The USA) is forced to give up its throne as the world’s sole hyper power! This will happen very soon because you’re so called “hyper power” is also the world's biggest debtor and currently is in a financial quagmire.

Well said Mervyn & Charita, although I know some pro-USA supporters might be googling away to see how they could bring you down. Excellent & very true.

Are they going to discuss how to help Sri lanka on there post war Development ??? NO...they will not going to help Sri Lanka but they r going to discuss how to distroy the country, how to bring MR government down, how to impose maximum sanctions on us and how to re-build destroyed Tamil militant organizations and how to bring MR and Military officials to international War Criminal coats.

The story is simple. stop barking as nobody wants to listen. If we want GSP facility adhere to the required norms set by EU. If we do not want GSP say that in plain language and look for a way out. One thing is true. We are not capable of teaching the democracies in EU about human rights.

We dont understand why EU is always worrying. When the Govnt of Sri Lanka eliminating LTTE they raise their voices and after abloished the LTTE they get irritated. They poke finge in Iraq and Afghanistan problem became bad to worst. These super power cant wait patiently creating and giving tension to 3rd world countries.Oh God is there is nay way to escape from these bullies?

I quite agree with Charitha. Yes, we don't need any help with strings attached from those monkeys. We have other friends, some of whom (such as China) will soon overtake the so called super powers in the west in every sphere.

Well said L Mervyn & Charitha. Hema

Only a few thousands or more would cry for annihilating the LTTE but the collateral damage that brought distruction and loss of innocent civilians lives is a matter of concern. As a human I find unable to justify the colossal loss of lives by remorseless bombing in the last phase of war. Sri Lanka government should definitely have not done the same had the terrorist being hiding among the sinhala community. This is pathetic. The government should be answerable for any excesses commited by the forces. People of this country and the government should learn to treat every citizen of the equally. This president upon the victory speech, said "There is no minority in this country", but what he done to achieve this. So far nothing.
