Lanka Bell Wayamba makes bold reply

  
Half tons by Damitha Hunukumbura, skipper Jehan Mubarak and Lanka de Silva helped Lanka Bell Wayamba make a bold reply of 212 for 3 in reply to Ewis Basnahira North’s score of 374 at the end of the second days play in their Inter-Provincial cricket encounter played at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium.

Mubarak and de Silva remained unbeaten on 81 and 61 respectively and the pair was associated in an unbroken 123 runs partnership for the fourth wicket. Mubarak’s knock of 81 included ten boundaries and de Silva’s 61 had nine boundaries while Hunukumbura’s contribution of 55 comprised seven boundaries and a six.

Earlier in the day Ewis Basnahira North resuming on their overnights score of 307 for 6 went on to make 374 with overnight batsman Gayan Wijekoon going on to make 72. The match will be continued at 10.00 a.m. today.
