Lightning kills woman soothsayer

The Navagattegama police said that a woman soothsayer at a Devale died being struck by lightning on Friday(10).

The deceased was Annie Nona (55), a mother of five children, of Galkulama, Neliwewa.

The woman separated from her husband was living with another man. Police said she had three children from the first marriage. She has died on Friday (10) Monks in the area had allegedly refused to perform religious rites on the body as she was not a member of dayaka sabha of any vihara in the area.
