They should ask this question from the remnants of the LTTE as to what happend those that were forcibly recruited.

    udaya Friday, 24 June 2011 03:17 AM

This simply shows that these people at least have freedom of expression now. Scores of tamil youth were forcibly recruited by LTTE. Could the parents protest then? These 'missing' can be such people. They can also be LTTE cadres takein in by the Security forces - for the safety of public at large. Many have been reformed and returned to society. I suggest that We Are Sri Lankans organise similar protests elsewhere demanding the return of people who disappeared due to LTTE bombing all over the island as well as the people who went missing during the JVP uprising in 88-89.

    mansam Friday, 24 June 2011 09:43 AM

None of these people would have been able to protest 30 years ago. they would have been shot by LTTE
