The Dalai Lama announced on March 10, 2011 that he was stepping down as political leader of the Tibetan govermment in exile. The Dalai Lama has long seen himself as “semi-retired” from political leadership with an elected prime minister already in place in the northern Indian town of Dharamsala. He remains Tibet's spiritual leader. REUTERS

    No invitation to the Dalai Lama by our GOSL for fear of our Chinese Masters. Our leaders cringe in the presence of the Chinese leaders. Shame that we are a Buddhist majority country.
