I should like to remind the JHU that we can not forget what happened in the past. There has to be accountability a fundamental principal of the Buddhist Phyloshopy.

    samosa Friday, 21 September 2012 04:47 AM

Munta pissu, looks like they don't have much work at temples.

    Banda Friday, 21 September 2012 04:55 AM

Why are these people so scared for an inquiry, you should not worry if your hands are clean.

    shanthi Friday, 21 September 2012 05:09 AM

Jayalath , well said , these protesters must follow BUDDHA'S
Preachings and practice same to protect this country , we all lived peacefully , suddenly something happend , please think
why all these happenings , there is a valid reason.

    Sammy Friday, 21 September 2012 06:01 AM

There are various types of wars being waged and covered up with the name of "peace". First be honest and eliminate prejudices in favour of the majority community, which the JHU is indulging in.

    Davidson Friday, 21 September 2012 06:04 AM

These protestors should go in front of Temple Trees.

peeda mossa Friday, 21 September 2012 05:06 PM

Extremists? who? Ban KI, Navi and co.? Yep, the whole bunch, definitely !

whole world knows how badly lanka will solve its own problem. Lanka has become disgrace to humanity.

    kasi Thursday, 20 September 2012 08:17 PM

Love USA! Love India!! Love Japan!!! = Peace
    Love China?..

    Hussain Thursday, 20 September 2012 04:19 PM

I support this protest. The UN should look for problems elsewhere and leave S/L to find its own solutions.

    kribath Thursday, 20 September 2012 05:07 PM

live in peace, wait and see , its upto the Indians,

    Hal Thursday, 20 September 2012 05:18 PM

This is very ironic as Lord Buddha campaigned for human right during his time in India. He was against the cast system which was against human rights.

    Yuri Thursday, 20 September 2012 05:31 PM

Why do not offer that to Tamils first.. leave them alone. do not try to rule them

    Labby Thursday, 20 September 2012 06:02 PM

"Let Us Live In Peace" !!
We telling it to the United Nations? What a silly thing !

    Sumith Thursday, 20 September 2012 06:04 PM

We need salvation, justice and peace not only to tamil people but to the whole country.

Ponna Bibile Thursday, 20 September 2012 06:10 PM

I dont see Modawansa among this anti-western Kolama.

    Manoj Thursday, 20 September 2012 06:28 PM

i am a buddhist but these monks are looks to be kind of jockers. these issues must be handled at deplomatic level not at the road level

    dass Thursday, 20 September 2012 07:43 PM

I wonder how many of these Buddhists will shorten the "sansara" by doing this protest. If not how many of them will born in a Tamil or Muslim womb ( if they are lucky to be human next lifetime)

Worrid man Thursday, 20 September 2012 04:03 PM

    Extremist

Lanka Muslim, UK Thursday, 20 September 2012 08:29 PM

Where is the other joker (Wimal). He went on a fast then. Now he should do something more.

    rumi Thursday, 20 September 2012 08:34 PM

our monks should continue to spread peace instead of asking from UN the peace. UN is here to piece the communities.

    VICTOR Thursday, 20 September 2012 08:45 PM

According your protest mean that, you can do whatever you like
others not ask any question about massacred innocent people. Until you stop this silly protest there is no peace in this country.
    victor

singing fish Thursday, 20 September 2012 09:28 PM

To achieve peace and show to the world that they are genuine in the reconcialiation, the goverment allowed UN personnel to enter Srilanka.Without protesting theJHU must help the goverment to perform the duties.

    pretheepan Thursday, 20 September 2012 10:14 PM

I am wondering whether the JHU understand english?
In the first image they say that there is no 'good wars' yet when the war was going on they were supporting it and saying anyone who opposed it was a terrorist. They said it was their duty to fight and now they say it was not good?

There is no bad peace any educated person knows that this clearly not true, the main cause of the rise of Hitler and the start of world war two was the fact that the peace created at the end of world war one was BAD. Bad peace leads to another war.
Does the JHU believe in Slavery as that is a form of peace as there is no fighting?
Why did Sri lanka fight for independence, their was peace under British rule?

If the JHU is opposed to the UN conventions of human rights etc then they should use their power and withdraw Sri Lanka from the UN. You cannot belong to an organization and not accept the rules.

    IVJ Thursday, 20 September 2012 10:40 PM

It would have been appropriate if it was written as "LET US LIVE IN PIECES"

cock eyed & crooked Thursday, 20 September 2012 10:41 PM

No court order to prevent their protest,
    No water cannons,
    No road blocks,
No ata pass fellows intimidating the protesters,
This bloody blatant violation on equal rights ....

    gamarala Thursday, 20 September 2012 11:04 PM

    JOBLESS PUPPETS.

    Samantha Thursday, 20 September 2012 11:18 PM

    Hi Labby,

Since people like you still think UN is the agent of Peace.. still westerners use UN for their work.. If UN is really in to peace they can do their mission properly in Afganistan and Iraq.
    You live decades behind.
