A leading florist reputed for its flowers, chocolates and gift packs was raided by sleuths of the Excise Department City Office today for selling seasonal gift hampers which included bottles foreign liquor. Pix by Pradeep Dilrkshana

    I think they did nothing wrong if they bought liquor locally from reputed tax payed vendor. they just sell hampers with many other food items. in our village there is a famous bar (kassipu spot) supported by local government member and police or excise dept does not bother. i think large number of villages has such spots operated with belling of mathata thitha program.
