Lets hope its maintained well.. This is what we never see.. Even with some of the exporail compartments some were dirty and the window rest were all sticky, the air condition leaking water etc..

Instead of new trains, get more security personnel to check ticket-less travelers. Have guards stop people from entering and exiting the platforms from the tracks and other un-guarded points. The people caught now are only a fraction of those who travel free daily.

It is happy see some progress in railway transport sector. There are several new trains are introduced.

Only one complaint, the train which leaves Colombo Fort at 6.00 PM to Matara is emmitting too much of very dark smoke. It will harm to passengers as well as the environment. I have travelled from that train in couple of times. I felt difficulty in breathing as smoke in allergy for me.
Immediate action to replace the engine for the sake of people's well being is highly appreciated.

Some body has to revamp the old fashion railway stations as well.They need to be modernized in par with other countries including ticket issue system.We still use the old fashion steel chunk to date stamp those thick tickets!!!!!

This train is not new, may be apartments are new. About 15-20 years back when I was working in Nuwara Eliya I used to go in this train called "Podi Manike", if I remember correct. Do not try to cheat people by saying new train was introduced.

Thanks to the Minister of Transport and the Government , please give us a similar luxury Chinese (No Indian) train between Colombo-Negombo. Charge Rs 400-500per journey and give us a train. Many people are waiting this service. Please make Negonbo Station attractive Many tourist will travel by this train. Thanks for all responsible.

Preventive maintenance, is very important.Hon minister pl take a look. Never let the vandalism to ruin the service. Don't wait till it breaks down. Introduction of new smokeless locomotives would be a splendid idea!
