The picture shows a police officer who was attacked by Welikada prison inmates during a drug raid being treated at the National Hospital. Around 48 police and prison officers were attacked by the inmates this morning. Pix by Kushan Pathiraja

    its time to take om the drug lords and the underworld..lets bring back the death penalty for drug traffickers to protect our society just like Singapore . To hell with Amnesty International and other pressure groups who are only protecting criminals while the majority suffer. Singapore's lowest crime rate is a testimony of its impeccable law and rightful ignorance of Amnesty International.
