Today is a black day for govt. servants. I do not know about Anusha, but Lalith is a competent govt. official as far as I know.

    Duminda Thursday, 07 September 2017 05:12 PM

Really! So that means top govt brass granted to loot a country that virtually cash trapped!!

    Brandon Thursday, 07 September 2017 07:02 PM

Good lesson to all government servant who help politicos..DONT SUCK UP TO POLITICIANS. IF YOU DO YOU WILL PAY AND THE POLITICOS WONT BE THERE TO SAVE YOUR BUTT!!

I am very glad to see Lalith here , he was so untouchable when he was with MR , his face tells that , long live our president!

    Harry Friday, 08 September 2017 09:14 AM

Ministers pick up the phone and threaten / order the public servants to do all the dirty jobs without any written documents and finally the officers get the sentence.

    yahiya Thursday, 07 September 2017 02:53 PM

Lalith have to learn lot from his wife. Anusha is very sensible officer follow the wrong leaders advice. Feel sorry.

    daham Thursday, 07 September 2017 03:02 PM

They have not robbed. They have distributed. They will appeal.

    LOOT Thursday, 07 September 2017 06:24 PM

Not only distributed - surely part of the funds would have been looted - with the seeming nod of the then powers that be. The equation [500 MlL less (metres cloth x price ) ] will give the amount looted.

    SHARE HOLDERS ! Thursday, 07 September 2017 06:44 PM

wonder who are shareholders ? (of the loot)

    huna Thursday, 07 September 2017 03:11 PM

    Sofia Thursday, 07 September 2017 03:17 PM

Why is Naman tongue-tied for once in the photo. All his bravado appears gone !!

Contempt of court Thursday, 07 September 2017 06:09 PM

Even Barking Dogs fear the law on contempt of court - hence the silence

A good lesson to all state officials, never do the wrong thing. Now start for the present SOE officials also and see they are punished now and not wait till the next govt to come.

    ala Thursday, 07 September 2017 04:59 PM

White collar crooks. The Judge has been too lenient considering the amounts misappropriated.

    C.Ratna Thursday, 07 September 2017 05:24 PM

Feeling sorry! People who made these officials rob state funds for their own personal benefits must be punished first!

    Fredrick Thursday, 07 September 2017 05:53 PM

Why do people here smile when sent to jail. In other countries only psychopaths do this.

SMILES OF SORROW Thursday, 07 September 2017 06:15 PM

"ALL SMILES" ! - like they say in certain instances "tears of joy" - I this case, might say " Smiles of sorry " to hide their feelings

If we assume to build a house for a poor homeless family costs one million, we would have built 600 houses for such families. Then the families will live with nearly around 2400 members happily. The culprits have wasted such amount of public money. So, not in this birth, but in the next birth ,they have to pay compensations for the crimes. Everyone should learn lessons from this. In this picture LW laughs like he has done a great job.
