SAG heroes returned

The Sri Lankan team which participated in 13th South Asian Games held in Kathmandu, Nepal, arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) last night. Sri Lanka placed 3rd with 40 gold medals, 82 silver medals and 128 bronze medals, bringing the total medals to 250. Pix by T.K.G Kapila

    Look at the very first picture. It speaks a lot about stupid mentality of our people. ONLY 5 YOUNG ATHLETES BUT 8 OFFICIALS. Many people want to be in the pictrue. Yet the kids had to be hospitalised for dengue. Hope this government will work on this bandwagon officials who likes publicity. Why can't there be a pictrue with only the athletes in it. Why do all the cooks spoiling the soup want to be in it? Sorry state of our countries people.

    I just cant imagine how these athletes competed and got the medals under illness of Dengue.This is shear Commitment to the nation.The President and people need to encourage and reward them ...
