When you compare the two sets of monks the Srilankan and the Bhutanese anyone can understand why Buddhism in Bhutan is purer than in our own country.

Purest Buddhism is what Buddha said. It is not measured by the colour or style of the Buddhist robe or behaviour of the Buddhist monks. Once attained full realisation of what Buddha said is called Rahath status. Once achieved you do not gain any more sins or boons no matter what you do, eat or drink. What Buddha said is still intact and can be found in Sri Lanka.
