S-lon wins JASTECA Merit Award for CSR

S-lon Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., the premier water management solutions provider and the market leader in thermoplastic pipes in Sri Lanka, was honoured with a Merit Award for CSR at the annual JASTECA Awards 2015 held at Hotel Galadarirecently, organized by the Japan Sri Lanka Technical and Cultural Association.  


The Ian Dias Abeysinghe Memorial Merit Award was conferred by S-lon Lanka for the first time, for its CSR initiatives carried out under the theme of ‘Commitment to Protect and Preserve the Environment and Society’.


JASTECA Awards is conducted in memory of JASTECA’s founder President, late Ian Dias Abeysinghe. The objective in organizing this event is to contribute significantly towards Society, Economy and our Natural Environment by encouraging organizations to conduct CSR activities. This competition has encouraged organizations to go beyond their statutory and stakeholder obligations and undertake philanthropic activities in reaching out to the integration of social and business goals.

Weerasekera, Group Director, The Capital Maharaja Organisation Ltd. said “While we run our business in line with the expectations of diverse stakeholders, we also see corporate responsibility as a discipline that helps us manage risks and maximize on the opportunities available to us in a changing world.”
