Turkey issues e-Visas for Sri Lankans

Sri Lankan citizens are now entitled to apply for Turkish visas through the Electronic Visa (e-Visa) Application System.
A Sri Lankan citizen may obtain an e-Visa fulfilling the following requirements:
1- A Sri Lankan passport holder with a currently valid Schengen/OECD member’s visa or a residence permit
2- A valid return flight ticket to Turkey,
3- Confirmed hotel reservations for the duration of the stay, and
4- Bank balance of US$ 50 per each day of the duration of the stay.
Those who fulfill the above requirements could obtain their 30-day single-entry e-Visa through www.evisa.gov.tr  website.
The e-Visa effective as from December 15th are only valid for those traveling for tourism or trade purposes. Other purposes, such as work and study, require regular visa given by Embassies or Consulates.
