MAPS International, the company that dealt in vehicle tyres, tyre rebuilding and building materials commenced importing and distributing household electrical appliances recently.

A range of household electrical appliances with ‘MAPS’ brand name is now penetrating the local market. Opening of Maps International corporate office and showroom at Polgasowita coincided with this newest venture of the company.

‘MAPS’ household electrical appliances range includes fans, kettles, irons, DVD players, gas cookers and many more household items. They can be obtained with a one year warranty from electrical and electronic appliances sales outlets all over the country.

Asanga Rathnayake, Director of MAPS International speaking at the occasions of opening the MAPS corporate office in Polgasowita and commencing Distribution of ‘MAPS’ household electrical appliances said he is happy to be able to penetrate the electrical appliances market with ‘MAPS’ brand name.

“Sri Lankan households now have access to a range of quality electrical appliances with ‘MAPS’ brand name. They can be bought at affordable prices with a one year warranty. Our company within a very short period became a household name due to its production of building materials and ‘MAPS’ and ‘UNICORN’ tyre inner-flaps.  Recognition by the masses motivated us to engage in more production endeavors for their benefit. We use state-of-the-art machinery for all our productions. Research and development is constantly done by the company to innovate  MAPS products,” said Rathnayake.

“MAPS International currently produces one-third of the total monthly requirement of tyre inner flaps in the Sri Lankan market. This is a fine endorsement to credibility of ‘MAPS’ products. MAPS is determined to add more products to its electrical and electronic appliances range in the coming years”, he added.
