Lowe LDB was elated to see three of its long standing clients, Dialog, Elephant House and Unilever Sri Lanka win the hearts and minds of Sri Lankan consumers at the recently concluded SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards 2015.

The event saw Elephant House Cream Soda bag the ‘FMCG beverage brand of the year’ award while Dialog won ‘Telecom service provider of the year’ and ‘Internet service provider of the year’ awards. Unilever Sri Lanka stole the show with its brands winning 4 awards. Unilever’s Lifebuoy took home the ‘FMCG brand of the year’, ‘FMCG personal care brand of the year’ and ‘FMCG youth brand of the year’ awards and Sunlight was voted ‘Household care brand of the year’.

“At Lowe LDB, on the 1st day of April, we lit a flame and passed it from hand to hand and from heart to heart, to celebrate 22 years of nurturing award winning mega brands at the recently concluded SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards. We have nurtured Sunlight and Lifebuoy and some 19 other Unilever brands, plus all of the Elephant Brand beverages for all of our life in the country. And are so proud to partner with our valued clients to build them to iconic status and help endear these brands to people all across Sri Lanka.  We look for the same opportunity with Dialog as well as we work hard to help them dominate a voraciously volatile and competitive territory.  We believe we search for new insights relentlessly and then connect with people magically and with enormous belief and passion.” said Lilamani Dias Benson, Chairperson, Lowe LDB.

Lauding Lowe LDB’s contributions to building brand love toward Unilever Sri Lanka and its brands, Siddharth Banerjee, Country Marketing Director, Unilever Sri Lanka said “Many congratulations to Lowe LDB for continued success in creating outstanding communication across brands which have regularly been recognized in national and international fora. This is only possible by keen understanding of our local consumers and strong creative triggers to engage consumers.”

Working on several Elephant House brands for over two decades, Lowe LDB shares a special bond with Ceylon Cold Stores. Commending the agency’s efforts towards aiding Elephant House Cream Soda rule as the most loved beverage brand in the country, Daminda Gamlath, Head of Beverages, Elephant House and Vice President, John Keells Holdings said “We at Elephant House are truly humbled that the voice of the people continues to recognise Elephant House Cream Soda as Sri Lanka’s most popular beverage brand. Lowe LDB continues to play a vital role in shaping the brand and helping it connect with its consumers. We are thankful for Lowe LDB’s contribution throughout our journey of dominating the category right for nine years in a row.”

“As the only awards of its kind to be based on island-wide surveys conducted by the Nielsen Company, SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards are a true reflection of consumer sentiments. We are honoured to see our clients’ brands being recognized as consumer favorites at this esteemed forum,” said Hari Krishnan, Chief Executive Officer, Lowe LDB.
