ETA Melco, the global giant in providing end-to-end solutions in vertical transportation requirements held its fourth global business strategy planning summit in Sri Lanka recently.
The event, which was attended by the key representatives heading the global operations, marked the conclusion of the year with key decisions taken to assure the growth expected for the current year in progress.
ETA Melco closed the year 2014 on a winning note by achieving the targets set for the period under review with an impressive growth rate of 30 percent across its group.
It surpassed selling a total of 3000 units of elevators and escalators across markets it represents for the given period. With this success, the company has drawn plans for the year 2015 to recode a further growth in its unit sales within the respective international markets with an annual growth rate aligned with the year before.
Ahmed Meeran, Executive Director of ETA MELCO ELEVATOR CO. LLC., Dubai, commenting about the successful conclusion of the event said, “This was our 04th Global Summit, the first one being in Dubai- U.A.E., followed by Salalah- Oman, Goa- India, and the 04th Summit was held in Sri Lanka. It was very significant to host this event in Sri Lanka, as the year 2014 was a very good year for many markets such as; Turkey, Kuwait, Sri Lanka and Maldives, which have shown a very positive trend. We are, now, set to drive the year 2015 forward with plans and targets put in place for business growth.”
With a view to further increasing its production output, ETA Melco will soon be upgrading its manufacturing facility based in Thailand this year. As a result of this new initiative, which will involve a huge investment, the company would be able to increase its production capacity to 20,000 units per annum. In addition, the construction of a new test tower is also planned in Thailand to expedite the quality check of its products.
ETA Melco is a global giant in supplying, installing, maintaining, repairing and modernising of Mitsubishi elevators, escalators, auto-walks and moving walks with a presence in over 24 countries that include Gulf, African, South Asian and CSI countries. It has already sold a total of 50,000 units during the last 40 years of being in business and is fully geared to achieve its mission to sell 100,000 units by 2025. The proven technical knowhow and expertise of its joint venture partner, the largest elevator and escalator manufactures in Japan – Mitsubishi Electric Corporation - has led the success of ETA Melco in securing businesses in the respective markets over the years to serve prestigious clientele with high demands on safety, quality, service and technical expertise of the service provider.
