Over the years, the three stations owned by the EAP Edirisinghe Group of Companies, Shree FM, Ran 1 FM & E-FM, executed some of the most innovative radio promos and interactive programs, taking its audiences by storm and reaching the pinnacle in terms of ratings, which were appreciated by coveted international awards presented over the years.

The network which is now known as the EAP Broadcasting Company (EBC), boasts of an AIB Award (Association for International Broadcasting - International Media Excellence Awards 2010) and two NAB awards (National Association of Broadcasters International Broadcasting Excellence Award 2010) for innovative programming and programming excellence respectively.

EAP Broadcasting Company plans to reach heights that have never been scaled before in Sri Lanka’s broadcast history.

Shree FM, the flagship channel of the EAP Broadcasting Company is transmitted across the island on 100FM and 100.2FM via over 7 relay frequencies as is considered Sri Lanka’s premier Sinhala music and talk station.

As the pioneering channel in the country, Shree FM executes the best promotional concepts in the industry. In 2010, Shree FM was awarded ‘The Most Creative Marketing Strategy’ by the Association for International Broadcasting. The near future will see Shree FM roll out its next promotional sensation, “Dina 100n Laksha 100k”, which would be executed in the same finesse and innovative mind set.

Ran FM, which was initially launched in October 2007, was re-launched as ‘Ran 1 FM’ during the month of October this year, 2015, promising fresh sound with improved programs involving star radio personalities that have influenced and moulded the Sinhala broadcasting industry. Ran 1 FM broadcasts across the nation on the frequencies of 100.5FM and 88.1FM as well as online via www.ranfm.lk.

“On the 2nd of November E- FM embarks on one of the most epic journeys in the stations history,” said Chalaka Gajabahu, Chief Operating Officer - EBC Broadcasting Limited as he addressed at the re-launch of EBC, about the new improvements for “Your Lifestyle Station” which plays the best in adult contemporary music, one of the leading urban English radio channels in the country – E-FM.

E-FM has broken the mould of previous years as they have reviewed, reconstructed and rethought their air time belts. One of the most notable reconstructions is reunited the power house combo of Shaq and Mark to host the morning show. Who’s speaking topics, relaying of news and interactive radio concepts which took the country by storm and ensured uplifting your morning blues is back in a big way on “Your Lifestyle Station”.

Another ground breaking initiative from the chain of new developments E-FM plans to incorporate  would be the first ever all girl combo on the station, which will not only play the best of hits, but also give the stations female listeners the extra inside scoop on all the latest promotions and products.

Amongst the major new developments, E-FM will publish a loyalty card, which will immensely benefit their ever loyal listeners. This exclusive loyalty card will provide card holders with the opportunity to receive considerable discounts from an array of popular service providers.

“E-FM’s primary goal is to be one of the top 3 radio stations within the course of the next 5 months, we have the strongest on air personalities working with us, the most innovative concepts and events, and we are the only English radio station in the country to also have a fan base of over 230,000 fans on Facebook,” said Gajabahu after reiterating this array of commendable new developments EAP Broadcasting Company has administered for their new stance on the radio waves.
