CIMA Sri Lanka concluded the famous Master Course in Speech Craft - ‘A-Z in Effective Speaking’ on a grand scale and successful note last week at the CIMA Auditorium.
A fascinating batch of participants from companies such as Unilever – MAS, LOLC – numbering over 25 enjoyed their 10-session course, which helped them to unleash their hidden prowess. Participants from varied fields - CEOs to finance managers to accountants and managers from marketing and sales as well as just passed out students from CIMA and some universities made up an interesting mix, which made the sessions even more interesting due to their wide and varied exposure.
The confidence with which they handled the head table and spoke at the grand finale held at the CIMA Auditorium recently, in the presence of the chief guest Brandix Lanka Ltd Head of Corporate Finance Hasitha Premarathne and guests was indeed commendable.
The auditorium was packed with their colleagues from their officers and their parents/spouse as well as CIMA Toastmasters. The handling of the total event by the speech crafters was admirable and a day they would certainly remember for a long time to come.
CIMA Sri Lanka has always encouraged the speaking of English - the promotion thereof and the enhancement of leadership skills in the country and with the help of the CIMA Toastmasters Club conducting two such Master courses during the year.
Toastmaster Sameera Silva, the President of the CIMA Toastmasters Club, the Chief Coordinator of this 1st Master Course for the year 2015 -ensured that the best Education Presenters were made available for this course. His enlisting of DTM Padmini Samarasinghe as the Chief Instructor - Educational Trainer and Coach with the help of the in-house talent of CIMA Toastmasters Mahesha Amarasuriya and Probodhini Senevirathne made this course the connoisseur of all eyes.
