CBL introduces Munchee Crunchee biscuit for kids

‘Munchee’, the favourite biscuit brand of many Sri Lankans, recently announced the launch of the latest addition to their innovative portfolio ‘Munchee Crunchy’ a crispy creamy sandwich biscuit specially developed for kids.

Munchee Crunchy, is the first biscuit manufactured in Sri Lanka that is targeted exclusively at kids. Prior to the introduction of this product, the company conducted extensive research to gain insights about the taste preferences of kids and teenagers when developing this product range.
The Munchee Crunchy range comes in four distinctive flavours; Milk, Orange, Chocolate and Lemon. The flavours are unique and the texture of the biscuits is developed to provide a melt in the mouth feel.

Speaking about the introduction of this product, Theja Peiris, the Group General Manager Marketing of CBL said, “We are very happy to introduce the newest taste experience to all Sri Lankan kids. Kids in other countries have access to exciting products which are specially made for them and we felt that our children have been deprived of such experiences. Our marketing and R&D teams developed this product giving attention to every aspect such as size, attractive packaging and flavors used that would make the product more suitable for kids.”

The Group Director/ Head of Marketing and Sales of Ceylon Biscuits Limited, Nandana Wickramage said, “We are confident that our latest innovation will be accepted by all as our pre-launch research has shown very positive results. The products are now available in all retail outlets. The company has made huge investments to introduce this size innovation of the biscuit. We are confident that the market is adapting to such change as kids today are learning to be responsible for their own choices.”
