A workshop was held at the Ministry of Development Strategies and International Trade recently to discuss strategic aspects to developing a national system that supports innovation and entrepreneurship in Sri Lanka.
The Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade Malik Samarawickrama spoke on the vision for Sri Lanka’s economy as it liberalizes trade with regional partners.
Minister of Science, Technology and Research Susil Premajayantha and State Minister for International Trade Sujeewa Senasinghe were present at this event. The other participants at the workshop were senior government officials, representatives from the research sector, private sector leaders, investors and start up community, and World Bank experts.
