Cooroondoowatte mark established an all time record price of Rs. 700 for a line of PEK1 grade at the auction of 30th August 2016 surpassing the previous best record price of Rs. 680 per Kg established by them on 1st July 2009; the buyer of the above line was M/s Mounta products and the sale was conducted by M/s Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers (Pvt) Ltd.
Cooroondoowatte estate is situated in Nawalapitiya and sold in the Western Medium Elevation Category and this estate is owned and managed by Robert W. Harley.
