The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will hold a discussion session on August 26, to gain inputs from the Lankan businesses on how to enhance business activities with China.
The latest move of the Chamber comes in the wake of Sri Lanka and China planning to strike a free trade agreement (FTA) between the two nations, shortly.
Hence the upcoming discussion is aimed at obtaining clarifications regarding ‘rules of origin’ criteria and
to receive inputs on inclusion of products to be promoted through the proposed FTA
with China.
Senior officials of the Department of Commerce will take part as the resource persons of the upcoming session.
The event, which will start at 9.30 am and will be held at the Board Room of the The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, is supported by the Sri Lanka – China Business Council and the Department of Commerce. Interested parties can register for participation by calling 115588818 or email to info@chamber.lk.
