Ceylinco General Insurance recently concluded its Annual Sales Conference and Awards Ceremony for 2015 with a gala event and recognised and handsomely rewarded its dynamic sales force.
The glittering event rewarded top performers for rising to every challenge, feting them with outstanding performance awards. The Ceylinco General Insurance team, the largest sales force in the Sri Lankan insurance arena, has consistently earned its reputation for motivated dynamism and is renowned for delivering exceptional service levels.
The event, attended by over 1,150 members of the sales force, was held under the theme ‘With Unmatched Service, Happily In Tune With Customer Needs – Team Ceylinco General Insurance Forges Ahead!’. The ceremony was graced by a distinguished gathering of invitees and well-wishers as well. Evaluated through stringent performance criteria, over 650 members of the sales force, who had excelled in their respective disciplines during 2015, were amply rewarded.
As usual, the top performers were divided into Bronze, Silver and Gold categories, going up to the celebrated ‘Hall of Fame’ category. Along with the numerous valuable rewards in these categories, two new entrants were inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame, and were further rewarded with brand-new vehicles, in recognition of their outstanding service and contribution to the company.
Another, who had performed consistently over the last five years in the Hall of Fame category, was rewarded with a world tour for the entire family.
Ceylinco General Insurance Chief Executive Officer Ajith Gunawardena delivering the keynote speech paid a glowing tribute to the staff of Ceylinco General Insurance, for continuously and consistently standing up to challenges and going above and beyond expectations.
He went on to praise them for their courageous efforts in delivering more than what is promised to customers, with absolute dedication. Gunawardena also reminded them of the challenges lying ahead and the relentless need to add value to products and services, in order to continually forge ahead, leading the industry to the future. He also recalled how the company had evolved to the present status, emerging a giant, due to the ever-present enthusiasm and commitment of employees.
Managing Director Patrick Alwis presented a descriptive analysis of the company’s performance during 2015 and said that the year under review was one of the finest for the company during the recent past. He also recalled how over the past two and a half decades, the company had introduced dozens of innovations, setting the benchmark for the rest of the players to follow, ultimately benefitting the people of Sri Lanka.
In order to ensure growth and to meet with emerging opportunities, the company now maintains the largest branch network in the island, with over 400 branches and sales outlets, together with several other distribution channels, providing fully-fledged general insurance solutions.
In recognition for its pivotal role during 2015, Ceylinco Insurance once again had the honour and privilege of being voted by the Sri Lankan people, as ‘The People’s Insurance Company’ for the 10th consecutive year, while Ceylinco Insurance was also proud to be the only insurance company among the Top 25 Companies in Sri Lanka for 2015, as announced by ‘Business Today’. And yet again, in the LMD rankings announced in December 2015, Ceylinco Insurance was the highest rated insurance company in the island, which spoke volumes regarding the value Ceylinco Insurance has added to the insurance industry and the nation.
