Four new directors have been appointed to the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) by Finance, Economy and Policy Development Ministry, Mirror Business learns.
They appointments were made through the stock market regulator Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The new directors are: former Central Bank Deputy Governor C.J.P Siriwardana, Earnst & Young Partner and ex-CA Sri Lanka President Arjuna Herath, ICT legal pioneer Jayantha Fernando and civil law practitioner Suren de Silva.
CSE board has nine directors—four appointed directors and five elected directors representing stockbroker firms.
CSE official corporate website is however yet to be updated with the names of the new directors as the website still carries the names two appointed directors appointed by the previous government.
The five elected directors are: Ray Abeywardena (Chairman), Dumith Fernando, Dilshan Wirasekara, Dimuthu Abeysekera and Murtaza Jafferjee.
