Bank of Ceylon’s (BOC) Buddhist Association organised a ‘Wesak Bkthi Gee’ performance by the staff of the bank recently at the bank’s head office.
The event was held under the patronage of the bank’s Chairman President’s Counsel Ronald C. Perera and General Manager D.M Gunasekera. The bank’s Buddhist Association has organised this event for the 36th occasion with the participation of 50 choir members compromising of both the existing and
retired staff.
The choir sang many popular Buddhist devotional songs and some composed by the staff of the bank. The choir members were trained by Lakshman Wijesekera, a veteran Sinhala artist in the country. The members of the bank’s corporate and executive management and staff members also participated in this event.
