Youth shot by PS member

A youth was seriously injured when he was shot by a Horana Pradeshiya Sabha member in the Hadapangoda area in Ingiriya last night.

The shooting took place when an argument broke out with the PS member and a group of youths, the police said.

He is now receiving treatment at the Homagama Hospital. The Ingiriya police are now investigating to arrest the suspect who had fled the area following the incident. (Buddhika Kumarasiri)
