The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) has failed to collect taxes to the value of Rs. 2600 million from residents and government institutions in the Western Province, Western Province Commissioner of Local Government Services H. Sumanapala told Daily Mirror online.
He said that action will be taken to confiscate vehicles and office equipment from these residents and government institutions next month in order to recover these taxes. (Daily Mirror online)
