SLFP Matara Chief Organiser and Deputy Minister Sanath Jayasuriya said today that he will not be contesting the upcoming parliamentary election due to personal reasons.
Speaking to Daily Mirror from Islamabad, Pakistan, the Deputy Minister said he would also relinquish the party organiser post.
Jayasuriya was appointed as Provincial Council and Rural Development Deputy Minister by President Maithripala Sirisena in early June. (Channaka de Silva)
