Wettasinghe remanded till Feb. 24

Businessman Ravi Wettasinghe, who was arrested on Friday was remanded till February 24, the Police said.

Mr. Wettasinghe had been on an open warrant and was detained by Immigration officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport Friday evening (20) whilst attempting to leave the country for Dubai.

The Police said, he was remanded after being produced before the Negambo Magistrate’s court.

An open warrant had been issued by the Bandarawela Magistrate Courts for the arrest of Mr. Wettasinghe over several pending cases.(DS)
