Despite earlier reports that the monsoon was beginning to ease out and an improvement was expected in the inclement weather conditions, the Department of Meteorology says isolated showers are expected this evening and tomorrow.

Showers are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces over the next 36 hours while thunder showers may develop in the Eastern and Uva provinces in the afternoon or evening, the Department of Meteorology said. (Daily Mirror online)

    Nothing is permanent.

We can see it already. Is there anything weather man can tell us what we cant see already - I mean these are obvious right - unless of telling things like "It will shine, if it didn't rain" or "Thunderstorms may start today or tomorrow or next week"

    Sunday, 23 May 2010 02:49 PM

    weatherman we believe you.

    Sunday, 23 May 2010 03:02 PM

When did weatherman making a wrong prediction become news in Sri Lanka? Shouldn't we be worried if he gets few correct instead ;p

    Sunday, 23 May 2010 04:28 PM

The earlier report says the rains are over. Less that 24 hours and then the met department says it will rain. It would be more economical to toss a coin and decide on the weather.
