UPFA General Secretary Minister Susil Premajayantha today expressed his confidence on achieving a remarkable victory at the upcoming local government polls. “UPFA is following a much stronger procedure for the upcoming MC election with the rapid development process carried out by the government throughout the country. We will be able to win all the 23 municipal councils” he stressed.

He said that all the possible measures have already taken to turn Colombo city into a beautiful and less congested city with improving the living standards of the people in garden tenements. “Change has already started in the greater Colombo area,” he said.

Meanwhile UPFA Mayoral candidate for Colombo Milinda Moragoda said that a special program has also been introduced by the UPFA to address the issues of the Muslim community in Colombo area. “This is a strategy we created after discussing with the Muslim dwellers in the city. With years of experience I have clearly identified the necessity of a project like this in order to protect the identity and culture of Muslim and Tamil communities as well,” Moragoda said.
