How can a policeman suspected of human rights abuses and possibly murder still remain a policeman, he should be suspended at the least.
The officer would not be transferred in any other civilised country.
Is this a prelude to all the charges going away I wonder.
Sri Lanka, a beautiful country where the rich or powerful, though often they are both can get away quite literally with murder
Which makes me wonder why we have not seen any news about those arrested for the murdered British subject over Christmas ?
Am I wrong in thinking that many crimes reported in the news seem never to be heard of after the original arrest, do they get lost in the system or is it the newspaper's that do not bother to report case progression ?

There has been a murder inside a police station. The action taken is: The OIC has been given a transfer???????? I think this is the only country in this whole world that this type of things happens. No wonder UNHRC is behind Sri Lanka.

To set up independent commissions is also a important point to look into by the UN. Unfortunately our only chance are other countries to get back a democratic country where we can live without fear. Our own governments and oppositions will never do it. We need a caretaker government for some time to hold free and fair elections.

What transfer, send him as an ambassador of Sri Lanka to Paris
buffaloa citizen Tuesday, 17 April 2012 12:32 PM
He can, but they are all obliged to each other in criminal favors and activities, therefore they have to live pimping for each other. Take the case of MaRa and Mervyn, same situ.

Amila.G Tuesday, 17 April 2012 11:30 AM
Very easy . Name of the game is transfer, This is what you call when you in the police you can get away with murder. How many ( poor) people have been murdered when they were under the police custody. How many cops have been served with justice.Next we hear will be suicide.
This country is getting verse to nothing, And tomorrow will be a another day and another new story .
