Uthayan editor out of danger

The Chief news editor of the Jaffna-based Uthayan news paper who was assaulted by an unidentified group on Friday evening and was admitted to the Jaffna hospital is out of danger, Dr. Sribavanatharaja the acting Director of the Jaffna Hospital said

Gnanasundaram Kuganathan the chief news editor of Uthayan was attacked while he was traveling along the Navalar Road in Jaffna on Friday (29) evening. (Daily Mirror online)
