The UNP is to submit a motion in parliament this week calling for the implementation of the right to information act. The motion will be presented by UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.

UNP Member of Parliament Gayantha Karunatilleke told reporters this morning that the UNP government of 2002 made an effort to introduce this Act but could not go-ahead as parliament was prematurely dissolved. (YP)

Good! that's how it should be. Further, fight for including all the rights of citizens hitherto not included in the constitution. And also, do not forget what you fought for, when you come to power, if ever. Also, do not forget that this is the mess you created with your late boss, that you are obliged to clear up.
