"RANIL GO HOME" is the best and foremost advice
Monday, 31 May 2010 04:01 PM
Totally agree with you. RANIL PLEASE RESIGN. Thats is the first step towards rebuilding the UNP. For 17 years this man ruined the party.

who ll take the decision of public opinions, there must be a solid, strong, capable, winning, challenging and best decision maker in the party.why not learn frm ruling government instead of general public.

@Kappa..you can bring whatever proposals but not about the leadership....the leadership s not open for debate nor for any internal election....proposals for any other rank below would be welcome..sadly Gayantha too does not know what he says..he just reads out whats given to him.. if Ranil does not give ear to what his own MP's have to say .,would he care about a comment or a letter of the public?????????

Make Sajith Premadasa as the leader of UNP. At least by nother 06 years UNP will become rulling party. SP is active & person with credibility.

It is well known what the public is saying, UNP supporters want Ranil out while UPFA supporters want Ranil to stay.
Monday, 31 May 2010 01:19 PM
Quite right. And I think the public have indeed from time to time come up with good proposals. The majority of them were for Ranil to resign and let someone else handle the Party, but to no avail. Why is he draging his feet?

really unp need new leadership
Monday, 31 May 2010 01:02 PM
Ranil is buying time. But time is running out. It is time that DNA/JVP shed it's useless nationalistic policies on ethnic issue and ecconomy and take up the leadership of the opposition, They may be less numbers in the parliament but it will grow soon. The people will start placing their confidence in DNA .

Kappa has got it wrong , they ask for proposals , not pleas, --" Kick him out" --perera
Monday, 31 May 2010 10:24 AM
A good proposal if true and genuine.

BY THE TIME THE UNP REFORMS ARE IMPLEMENTED THERE MAY NOT BE A UNP TO TALK ABOUT. IT IS DYING A NATURAL DEATH.
Monday, 31 May 2010 12:06 PM
Ranil needs to resign and the party needs a more patriotic leader. Time for positive change is now!
Monday, 31 May 2010 11:35 AM
Public decision is very clear !

Please be silent Mr. Ranil. Please give a chance to Sajith. You act as advisor. Like soniya. Mr. Ranil Is the best for our country lear, but not for party leader.
Monday, 31 May 2010 11:08 AM
I have the best proposal. Just three words! If implemented it will solve all the problems automatically. No need of any reforms. It is just like taking the cancer OUT of the body of UNP. The proposal is: " Ranil, Please Resign!" Can anyone please pass this to the UNP head office "Sirikotha"......?

Sad.. if they arent even able to resolve the issue in their party how could we expect them to resolve anything.. let alone govern the country!!!.... Its sad whats happening to the main opposition...

Presently not much options available with UNP. Why dont you import some more intelletuals, we want new faces!
