Ranil - pls do not give up the elephant symbol & colour - even if yu lose several times. It is the BRAND NAME of the UNP. Just like - When Ceylon changed to Sri Lanka - the brand name of tea remained CEYLON TEA - it did not change to Sri Lanka tea. ITS THE BRAND THAT MATTERS.

We recommend UNP to join hands with other parties in the same manner to contest with the leadership of Mr.Sarath Fonseka who is more popular and will receive more sympathy votes as well after his arrest. The General Public is in opinoin that SF should lead with the symbol SWAN. Wishing all the best for UNF.

Whatever you do Mr. Ranil W you are going to face another defeat because without the Independent Commissions, specially the Election Commission and the Police Commission there is going to be mega scale rigging. So, the best thing the Opposition parties should have done was to insist on the establishment of independent commissions and till then not to take part in any elections. Why should you stand for elections knowing very well that you are going to lose because of rigging.
