The UNP Working Committee decided today to initiate disciplinary action against three MPs Palitha Range Bandara, Palitha Thewarapperuma and Asoka Abesinghe for attending the October 18th rally along with former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka despite warning by the party, informed sources said.

Also, action will be initiated against two provincial council members Maithri Gunaratne and Shiral Laktilake for doing the same on that day.

The Working Committee that met this evening with leader Ranil Wickremesinghe in the chair decided to refer the suspension of these members to the disciplinary committee headed by Tilak Marapana.

Why refer to Ranil Wickremasinghe as a leader? Are we so poor in leadership qualities?

I have been repeating this even before. That joker Tissa Attanayake continues to be the Personnel Manager of the party his favorite past time seems to be show cause letters, charge sheets and disciplinary action. Tissa, find a job in some garment factory.
